When will the new framework for Care at Home be released? | QCS

Dear Senga,

I work in Care at Home and we are eagerly awaiting the new framework which has already been released for care homes. Do you have any idea when this will be released as we are keen to get on board and become familiar?

Hi Katie,

Please don’t be anxious, the feedback I have had from care homes is the new framework has been good and easy to implement.

I attended the recent Care at Home Conference hosted by Scottish Care and the new CEO Peter Macleod was speaking of the new framework.

He estimated CAH would be roughly the end of the year or very early 2020, therefore have at least a further 6 months of using the Quality Themes.

My best advice for you is to really become familiar with the Health and Social Care Standards as these are what is used to formulate the new framework, if you have these embedded in your service you can’t go wrong.

Good Luck Katie
