Course Funding in Scotland | QCS

Hi Sheila,

I have a care manager who I would like to enrol for her qualification and in line with the SSSC requirements. I noticed that there is discount funding for CQC on a Level 5 however concerned to note that their is ongoing no guidance or notification on those providers that are based in Scotland and hence regulated by the Care Inspectorate – is there the equivalent help in Scotland or do we have to pay the full amount?

Dear Alasdair,

We asked Tony Clarke, QCS’s Scottish Contributor about this and this is his response:

“As far as I know there is no such public funding in Scotland. However, the following link gives useful sources of information on funding for gaining qualifications. I hope this helps.

Funding for training – Scottish Social Services Council

Find out about funding available through different organisations.

I have had a look at the website and there seems to be some useful information there.

Best wishes.
