Dear Joanne,

Yes, you will need to be interviewed by the Care Quality Commission. This will take place after you have completed the Application form to be a Registered Manager.

You should also think about the qualification that you will be expected to achieve if you haven’t got it already.

It is the government funded Level 5 Diploma in Health and Care Leadership for Registered Care Managers and Deputy Care Managers seeking CQC registration.

QCS works with Access Skills on training related matters and you can contact them on 0121 510 2169 or on their website http://www.accessskills.co.uk  for information on gaining this qualification.

Best wishes.

Sheila
