Dear B,

Thank you for your question,

The Care Quality Commission website has guidance about variations to registration.

http://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/registration/making-changes-your-registration#regulated-activities

You will see that one of the forms mentioned is entitled  ‘Add a regulated activity’.

The form can be found here: http://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/registration-notifications/provider-application-add-regulated-activity

It says on this page that “You can now add a regulated activity online, using our Provider Portal. Nearly all providers have now been invited to sign up for an account.”

If you don’t have a provider portal then this page also tells you how to apply for one.

This is now a much more straightforward process than it used to be so I hope that you will be able to make the application required easily. Any further questions please come back to me.

Best wishes,

Sheila
