Funds for training? | QCS

Hi, if I have a staff member doing the care certificate, are any of the units under the Workforce Development Fund able to claim any funds?

Dear C,

Thank you for your question.

I referred it to Neil Crawford, Director of Access Skills (http://www.accessskills.co.uk/) and this is what he said:

Yes, it is correct that the care certificate is defined outcomes and not accredited qualification units.

However, if the individual undertakes a training course as part of their care certificate activity with an accredited outcome which is on the workforce development fund list of funded units, then they could claim for these individual accredited units @ £15 per credit.

I hope this is helpful.

Best wishes.

Sheila
