NHS contracts for a new care organisation | QCS

We are establishing a new care organisation, but we have not yet applied for contracts from the NHS.

Can we still establish the company and send the application.

Thanks,

Basha

Dear Basha,

Thank you for your question. The application for CQC for registration of your service is quite separate from the work you will need to do with other agencies to secure contracts and clients to provide care for.

So when you have all the pieces in place required by CQC for a new registration you should submit your registration because it may take some time for the process to be completed. As I am sure you are aware all the information you require to complete your application for CQC registration can be found at:

http://www.cqc.org.uk/content/what-registration

At the same time you can of course be having discussions with the various agencies about contracting for the provision of services.

Best wishes,
Sheila
