Would I be eligible to become a CQC inspector? | QCS

Hello Sheila, I am recently retired from the finance industry (Banking) after 43 years. I was a carer for both parents for the last 5 years and also spent a lot of time visiting numerous care homes where my parents were placed individually before they passed away over the last couple of years. Would I be eligible to become a CQC inspector?

Dear H,

Thank you for your question, I get quite a lot of questions about gaining employment with CQC.

I am sure that CQC would be very interested in speaking with you.

There is plenty of information on the CQC website about jobs with them: https://www.cqc.org.uk/jobs-cqc

It may be that your experience would qualify you to be an “Expert by Experience” but I am sure that if you contact CQC someone will be available to discuss the options.

With best wishes.

Sheila
