Announced by the Scottish Government back in July, care homes in Scotland are starting to support residents to see their families in person again. However, to protect the residents, care workers and visitors, a staged approach was announced to help reintroducing visits in Scotland’s care homes.
All four stages include different rules for care homes and visitors, and it can be challenging for care workers to recall the guidelines in detail. Therefore, our pocket guide is here to remind you of the required conditions and settings for reintroducing controlled visits for ALL stages, and rules on the current stage (currently on stage 3). It also allows you to plan ahead and confidently make an informed decision when allowing visitors to your care homes in the next stage.
