GP Quality Audits
Quality improvement activity must be carried out and practices should routinely review the effectiveness and appropriateness of the care provided in order to provide effective, safe care. There are many types of quality improvement activity (QIA), and one example is audits.
Care and services are measured against evidence-based standards and changes are implemented to narrow the gap between existing and best practice. Ideally, an audit is a continuous cycle that is continuously measured with improvements made after each cycle.
We have produced a list of possible audits you may choose to undertake and a template for the data and review cycle to be captured on.
