Catering Management Policy and Procedure
This policy and its associated manual provide a framework for all team members to comply with current food safety regulations. The framework ensures that all those involved in every aspect of food preparation and service are fully conversant with the practical requirements of our hazard analysis system. This policy has been amended significantly in conjunction with the release of new standards, forms and guidance (held within the QCS App). The Business impact has changed from Low to Medium in recognition of the large change to the policy and contents of the manual that will involve changes in practice and embedment within the service.

COVID-19 Testing Policy and Procedure
This policy has had minor updates to government guidance. It provides more information on the types of tests to be conducted in care homes including links to guidance on the testing of visitors and other health professionals.
Register of Other Interests Policy and Procedure
New: This new policy will support a service to manage any conflicts of interest effectively. It contains a register that must be completed by staff should any conflicts exist.
Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and Procedure
New: This is a new policy relating to the ethical, social and ecological responsibilities that the provider aligns to its business model which impact beyond the service.
Oxygen Saturation Monitoring Policy and Procedure
This policy has been reviewed and now includes reference from NHS England and the specified number of pulse oximeters that should be available in care homes for safe management of service users during COVID-19. This is now discussed in section 4.2 and 5.7. Additional further reading resources also added.

Resident of the Day Policy and Procedure
New: This is a new policy that details how ‘Resident Of The Day’ can be used to ensure that service users are offered a meaningful opportunity for a care review and to feedback on the service provided. This policy includes a form that can be used to evidence completion of the ‘Resident Of The Day’.
