Safeguarding Policy and Procedure
Policy reviewed and revised. Additional content includes training to meet the 2018 Adult Safeguarding Roles and Competencies which applies to Dental Services and a new fact sheet on County Lines and Cuckooing. This policy and procedure reflect current best practice. However, the documents must be reviewed and amended to reflect the local policies, procedures and the service being delivered before it can be embedded within the Business. An additional custom field has been included which refers to the Provider’s own local Authority Safeguarding Team. System details in the QCS Management system will need to be updated to reflect the Local Authority Name.
Health and Safety Policy and Procedure
This policy has been updated to the new QCS format with the addition of a Statement of Intent template which can be located in the forms section of the policy.
Serious Incident Notification Policy and Procedure
Policy converted to new QCS format with the addition of other reporting requirements when serious events occur as well as necessary regulatory notifications. Included is the requirement to provide support under the Duty of Candour.
CQC Fundamental Standards Policy and Procedure
This policy has been reviewed in order to reflect current Fundamental Standards as well as being converted into the new QCS policy format. This will assist with understanding and use of the QCS management system. It details the use of the Fundamental Standards area of the system and how to use the ‘supporting policies’.
Risk Policy and Procedure
This policy and procedure has been updated with new RIDDOR reporting requirements.
Medicines Policy and Procedure
This policy has been updated to include additional direction to assist you in reducing the risks associated with using medicines and other drugs within the practice.
Access to Information Policy and Procedure
The policy has been revised to incorporate requirements of mental capacity legislation regarding third-party requests for information and to clarify Information Commissioner’s Guidance regarding entitlements of subject access.
Treatment Policy and Procedure
Updated to reflect new General Dental Council (GDC) standards and encourage Person Centred Practice.
