Dental Management System
Statement of Purpose Policy and Procedure
This policy will support a service with the completion of a Statement of Purpose which is part of CQC’s requirements. It has been reviewed with no significant changes. References have been checked and updated.
Dental Equipment Maintenance Policy and Procedure
This policy will support to ensure staff are trained in the safe use and maintenance of equipment. It has been reviewed with no significant changes and references have been checked and updated.
Recruitment Policy and Procedure
This policy will support in the recruitment process. It has been reviewed and the ‘References’ section of the application form updated. More information has also been added to procedural section 5.13 to ensure satisfactory evidence is obtained where someone has worked in the sector previously as per the regulations. The reference links have also been reviewed and updated.
Annual Holiday Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines a member of staff’s annual leave entitlement and the process they should follow should they wish to request annual leave. It has been reviewed and amended to reflect the current Government guidance in respect of travel to England from another country. The references have also been checked and updated.
Infection Control and Decontamination Policy and Procedure
This policy will support with infection control and decontamination processes at a service. It has been reviewed and content changes made within the policy statement and procedural sections. All references have also been checked and updated.
Clothing, Appearance and Personal Hygiene at Work Policy and Procedure
This policy will support a service with a standard dress and appearance code. It has been reviewed with no significant content changes. 5.2 has been slightly updated for wording purposes. References checked and updated.
Fit and Proper Person – Directors (CQC), Policy and Procedure
This policy will support to ensure directors meet the requirement as fit and proper persons in their role. The policy has been checked and references updated. Some extra information has been added to section 4.5 regarding DBS.
Capability Policy and Procedure
This policy will support where issues of capability or poor performance arise. It has been reviewed and an update made to the Manager’s Checklist to reflect the process set out in the procedure. References also checked to ensure they remain current.
Supervision Policy and Procedure
This policy will support to ensure clinical supervisions are in place. It has been reviewed with no significant changes made and references have been checked and updated.
Business Plan Policy and Procedure
This policy will support with ensuring a robust and accurate business plan is in place, and includes a template Business Plan to aid this. It has been reviewed with no significant changes and references have been checked and updated.
