Policy has been updated to include the recent criteria for testing, which now includes those in local lockdown areas. Information about the antibody test has also been added. References updated to ensure they remain current.
Managing the impact of COVID-19 and making sure you continue to provide Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive and Well-led services is challenging. In response to the recognition that there are multiple demands on your time, we have created a mini mock inspection to help you evidence that your services are still compliant with the CQC requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Policy reviewed and amended to reflect changes in current legislation and best practice. Updated to the new QCS format and reflecting CQC and other stakeholder requirements. Updates made to ensure it meets the requirements of working in a service user’s own home. This policy replaces Policy Number QQ06 for Domiciliary and Supported Living Clients.

A new policy and procedure in the event of a sudden or unexpected death. This policy should be read alongside the Resuscitation Policy and Verification of Death Policy.

This update may reflect a change in reference code for residential clients; if you previously had reference code CC06, it is now CC05. It is a new policy for our community clients.
This review has been undertaken with additional information and references. Links have also been provided to clarify the legal stance and business reasons for training.
This is a new policy. The policy covers the giving of references both once a member of staff has left and during employment when other types of references may be required e.g. financial, etc.
