GP - Safeguarding
Policy reviewed and converted to new QCS policy format. Policy statement added to ensure that providers consider safeguarding issues to protect the service user from financial or other abuse.
New policy to include specific details on types and indicators of abuse and how to respond. Emphasis is on the need to understand child protection procedures within GP practice.
The policy has been clarified and amended to highlight the main risks to human rights in health and social care. It addresses these by emphasising the need to consider the human rights of people who use services, at all stages of care planning and decision-making. The references to a significant number of KLOEs emphasise the impact human rights have on the delivery of high quality care. The policy title has been amended to highlight the importance of promoting equality for the people who use services.
