The Procedure section documents what steps staff must take to comply with the policy. The Disabled Workers Policy and Procedure has now been archived.

Notice Periods Policy and Procedure

This policy has been updated to enable customisation of notice periods so that they reflect the Organisation’s employment contract information. The Employee Termination Administration Record has also been updated to include reference to DBS notification in cases where a member of staff is dismissed for safeguarding reasons.

Training Policy and Procedure

Human Resources Recruitment, Induction and Training Region: | Reference: DPR06

This policy has been reviewed and amended with updated content. As a result, policies DPR03, DPR04 and DPR05 have been archived. The student dental nurse is discussed in more detail, as is the agency and temporary worker, given the shift and prevalence of these groups. Equally, the need to check vaccination history/status has been added to initial checks. The further reading section has been amended, and the document relating to student professionalism and fitness to practise is a key read for those with students of any registrant group as it talks fluently about accountability and responsibility. Reference to the Employment Act has also been added.

Harassment Policy and Procedure

Clarification added to the procedure to make it clear that this policy applies to all protected characteristics, not just race and sex. The protected characteristics have been fully outlined. The amendments also provide a clear structure to follow should a complaint of bullying or harassment be raised. The policy has been updated to ensure compliance with GDPR.
