This policy has been updated to the new policy format and contains much more guidance on the situations that may arise when notice is given or received including reference to regulatory requirements.
Introduction of new policy format.
The policy name has been changed from Working Alone Policy and Procedure to Lone Working Policy and Procedure.
The policy has more clearly recognised the importance of risk assessments prior to the delivery of a service by a lone worker, and has defined the procedure to ensure that appropriate resources are available to promote the health, safety and welfare of lone workers.
The policy has been converted to the new policy format. The policy references the Infection Control and Decontamination Policy and Procedure and governs the interaction between the two policies.
