Quality Assurance - Dental
This policy has been converted into the new QCS policy format. This is an easy to follow method of decontaminating laboratory based work to ensure safe and infection free handling of dental work.
Policy reviewed and amended to reflect changes in current legislation and best practice. Updated to the new QCS format and reflecting CQC and other stakeholder requirements.
Policy reviewed and revised. Additional content includes training to meet the 2018 Adult Safeguarding Roles and Competencies which applies to Dental Services and a new fact sheet on County Lines and Cuckooing. This policy and procedure reflect current best practice. However, the documents must be reviewed and amended to reflect the local policies, procedures and the service being delivered before it can be embedded within the Business. An additional custom field has been included which refers to the Provider’s own local Authority Safeguarding Team. System details in the QCS Management system will need to be updated to reflect the Local Authority Name.
This policy has been updated to the new QCS format with the addition of a Statement of Intent template which can be located in the forms section of the policy.

Review and updating of Treatment planning requirements and references. The Treatment Plan Policy and Procedure has been reviewed and made more workable and practical in accordance with the CQC and GDC Standards.

This policy has been updated to expand on the requirements to meet the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as set out by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). It has also been updated to clarify classes of information subject to exemptions e.g. the protection of commercial interests and personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998.
This policy has been updated to give more details to team quality review processes linked to Regulation 17 – Good Governance, Fundamental Standards. Accountability and training guidance has also been added.
This policy and procedure has been updated with new RIDDOR reporting requirements.
