Choking Policy and Procedure

Care Management Care Practice Region: | Reference: ICC100

This policy outlines the process to follow when someone is choking or when a service user has been diagnosed with dysphagia. It has been reviewed and the procedure sections updated to include “rights based” best interest decisions as well as sections 5.2, 5.3, 5.5, 5.6, 5.9 amended. Further reading has been added and references reviewed and updated.

Development Appraisal Policy and Procedure

Human Resources Recruitment, Induction and Training Region: | Reference: IPR01

This policy will support with the appraisal process at the service. It has been reviewed and updated with changes made to sections 5.2, 5.4 and 5.5 where information is no longer applicable. Reference to supervisors has been added as managers may not always be the person carrying out an appraisal interview. Inclusion of a statement on the appraiser requirement to consult with management team prior to completing staff appraisal and that new employees undergo an end of probation appraisal and annual thereafter. References also checked to ensure they remain current.
