CCTV Policy and Procedure

Residential Services Risk Assessment & Safety Region: | Reference: SMR09

Policy converted into new QCS format. This policy dovetails with the Home Office and ICO codes of practice when using surveillance. Updated to reference the General Data Protection Regulation (2016) and provide access to further resources and self-assessment tools to aid compliance. This policy is predominantly for CCTV within the provider’s office accommodation. Where providers are delivering care on site and CCTV is used, e.g. Supported Living, Extra Care Schemes, etc. the provider should consider the service user privacy and work with any housing providers accordingly, ensuring the policy is amended to meet local requirements. This policy replaces policy number SMR07.
