Menu Choice Policy and Procedure

This policy will guide staff on how to ensure that mealtimes are optimised to ensure they are as enjoyable as possible, to include service users in the menu process and ideas on how to increase fortification when required. The policy has been reviewed, references and links have been checked and remain current. A guidance document has been added to the ‘Forms’ section which provides information on how to increase calories in food (fortification).

Accommodation Standards Policy and Procedure

Residential Services Buildings Region: | Reference: SMB01

This policy will advise staff on the importance of involving individuals in the personalisation of their environment. It will also guide staff on how to improve the facility to help people who are living with dementia retain their independence and, therefore, have better outcomes. The policy has been reviewed with no imminent changes to practice required. However, staff should familiarise themselves with this policy and the attached audit. References have also been checked to ensure that they remain current.
