Deprivation of Liberty in Community Settings Policy and Procedure

This policy will support a service to protect the rights of individuals who may lack mental capacity and are deprived of their liberty in their best interests. It has been reviewed and minor updates and clarifications made. The title of the policy has also be changed from ‘Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Policy and Procedure’ to ‘Deprivation of Liberty in Community Settings Policy and Procedure’ for further clarity of the settings this policy is specific to.
