Sex, Sexuality and Relationships Policy and Procedure
This policy sets out how the organisation will support individuals to maintain intimate relationships whilst ensuring sexual safety and the protection of adults who may be vulnerable to abuse. The policy has been reviewed and legislation has been updated with more information about ensuring that the expression of sexuality is promoted.
Obtaining Medical Reports Policy and Procedure
This policy governs the use of medical reports in the event an employee is struggling to carry out their role and there is potentially an underlying health condition as the sole or main cause of this. It has been updated and a new template letter added to the ‘Forms’ section inviting employees to a meeting, where there is possible capability dismissal. This policy details how an individual’s personal possessions must be assessed and a clear record kept of any items brought into the home. It has been reviewed with minimal content changes and references have been checked to ensure they remain current.
Daily Communication Meetings Policy and Procedure
This policy will advise on the benefits of daily communication meetings and how to arrange and put this initiative in place to benefit both staff and individuals. References and links have been checked and remain current.
Cross-Contamination Between Care and Catering Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines how to eliminate cross-contamination between care and catering. It has been reviewed and references updated. Policy still includes information about the management of COVID-19 and the importance of regulating contact between care and catering staff, and the need to follow the latest government guidance.
Resuscitation Policy and Procedure
This policy details how staff must respond in the event of a cardiac arrest within the service, and this applies not only to individuals, but anyone within the service at the time. The policy still includes guidance in relation to COVID-19. References have also been checked and updated.
Catering Uniforms Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines the process to follow in relation to catering uniforms within the service and to ensure they follow infection control requirements. It has been reviewed with no changes and references have been checked to ensure they remain current.
Auditing Policy and Procedure
This policy describes the auditing processes at the service, explaining the reasons for, and scope of, the audits required. It has been reviewed and the content is still valid. References have been updated.
Depression Policy and Procedure
This policy will aid staff where individuals have a diagnosis of, or may suffer from, depression. It has been reviewed with changes throughout for clarity, and to emphasise that depression is not usually a lifelong condition. Rearranging the order of some policy statements and key facts has also taken place. References have also been checked to ensure they remain current.
