This policy outlines the role of the Named Nurse, who may oversee an individual’s care package. The policy has been reviewed with relevant Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) Lines of Enquiry now referenced to highlight how the policy will support, and provide evidence that, any CIW criteria is addressed. In addition, all references in the policy have been checked and updated.
Policy updated to the new QCS format. Reviewed the focus from ‘meetings’ to the wider use of action planning including responses to CIW reports and updated the Form template.
This policy has been reviewed and converted into the new QCS policy format. It has evolved to now include organisational structure and delegation in management as well as detailing line management standards and regulatory notifications in the unlikely event of a home manager absence.
This document has been updated to amend ‘Nominated Person’ to ‘Responsible Individual’, in line with best practice, and has been updated for minor amendments to terminology. Also, provisions have been included for occasions when the Welsh Language may be ‘Essential’ or ‘Desirable’.
