This policy will demonstrate the requirement to plan for the staff rota to ensure that individuals have enough staff with the correct skills to support them. It has been reviewed and now includes a section regarding COVID-19 and the implications for rota development.
This policy has been updated to merge both the DBS/Disclosure Policy and Procedure and the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Policy and Procedure to ensure clarity and avoid any crossover. The policy also now includes the new position on DBS filtering. This policy governs how and when an employer needs to carry out a DBS check along with the categories of employee who should be subject to a DBS check from a regulatory perspective.
This policy sets out the legal process for Individual contracts. A new contract can now be located in the ‘Forms’ section of this policy and there is also a contract template for adaptation in the Resource Centre. A previous version of the contract will remain available in your QCS system for a period of 3 months and is called ‘WAR08L – LEGACY – Individual Contract’. It is strongly recommended that you begin to use this new contract as soon as possible. Please note that a significant number of new sections have been added to your system details questionnaire which require completion. It will be necessary for you to update these details to ensure that the information contained within this policy reflects your service.

This policy will support to maintain a person’s dignity, respect and choice whilst undertaking a service. It has been reviewed and updated to include more clear reference to dignity and respect, with an added policy statement and procedural section now included. Definitions and further reference to dignity and respect also included. Title of the policy has also changed from ‘Choice Policy and Procedure’ to ‘Dignity, Respect and Choice Policy and Procedure’. References also checked to ensure they remain current.
Policy reviewed and updated to include reference to COVID-19 and the implications for maintenance of the service. This policy will guide staff on the maintenance process to ensure safety and upkeep of the service.
This policy is one of the main policies governing the employee and employer relationship and ‘capability’ is one of the potentially fair reasons for dismissal under the Employment Rights Act. There is a process to follow which ensures that the reason for a dismissal is fair and also that the fair reason for dismissal has been reached after following a fair process, both of which are key to ensure that there is no claim for unfair dismissal. This policy relates to issues of capability which are not linked to lack of capability due to ill health. For guidance on ill health capability, you should follow the Sickness Absence Policy and Procedure. The policy has been reviewed with Welsh Lines of Enquiry added and additions made to the content in sections 5.4 and 5.5. in particular. The Confirmation of Dismissal letter has also been updated. References have also been updated to ensure they remain current.

It has been reviewed with the content of the policy streamlined and also includes a new business plan template. Reference to coronavirus has also been included in the policy and links have also been reviewed and updated.
This policy details the safeguarding processes to follow in a service. It has been reviewed and updated in line with the Wales Safeguarding Procedures and the All Induction Wales Framework. Notification information has also been included in relation to staff misconduct and pressure ulcers. A COVID-19 procedural point has also been included. References also updated and additional ones added in line with these procedures, staff to familiarise themselves with these.
