Lifts and Hoists Policy and Procedure
This policy will support a service with the safe management of lifts and hoists. It has been reviewed with minor changes to the policy and missing legislation and Welsh Lines of Enquiry added, additional reference material also included.
Maintenance Policy and Procedure
This policy details the maintenance procedures for a service to follow. It has been reviewed and the procedure updated to reflect “Hot works” and “Permit to Works” with additional bits of information. There is also reference to working safely, barriers and locking off areas, making the area safe, cleaning up and removing tools after completion or away from the work. A Permit to Work template has also been provided in the Forms section.
Fire Safety Policy and Procedure
This policy will support the service with fire safety, ensuring it has the right checks and procedure in place in the event of a fire. The policy has been reviewed with some changes. The terminology ‘stay put policy’ has been removed and replaced with ‘defend in place’. There is more emphasis on the fact that fire drills should be conducted at night as well as during the day (when fewer staff are available). Some additional references have also been included.
Fire Equipment Policy and Procedure
Policy converted into the new QCS format and updated to reflect changes in best practice and stakeholder holder requirements.
Personal Hygiene Policy and Procedure
Policy converted to the new QCS format, setting out the standards expected of staff in relation to personal presentation when representing the service.
Maintenance Communication and Action Policy and Procedure
Policy converted to the new QCS format with a minor adaption to the Maintenance Communication and Action Form to now include an outcomes section.
Catering Communication and Action Policy and Procedure
Policy converted to new QCS format. This policy sets out to streamline communication between staff and the Catering Team. It relates to Individual feedback. The attached form now includes an outcome section to identify actions taken in response to requests made.
Lifts and Hoists Policy and Procedure
Policy converted to new QCS format with the inclusion of further LOLER information. This policy now includes resources and further reading to enhance knowledge.
Supply of Individual’s Own Food Policy and Procedure
Policy converted to the new QCS format. Some additional elements to the procedure section and clear objectives set. This policy aims to promote a culture that encourages visitors to support with meeting the nutritional needs of Individuals, balanced with safe practice in relation to food storage and hygiene.
