Mental Capacity Act 2005 Policy and Procedure

Converted to new QCS policy format, as well as adding a greater emphasis throughout on the decision specific nature of the Mental Capacity Act and its emphasis on finding the least restrictive option when making decisions for someone who lacks mental capacity.

Lone Working Policy and Procedure

Introduction of new policy format.
The policy name has been changed from Working Alone Policy and Procedure to Lone Working Policy and Procedure.
The policy has more clearly recognised the importance of risk assessments prior to the delivery of a service by a lone worker, and has defined the procedure to ensure that appropriate resources are available to promote the health, safety and welfare of lone workers.

End of Life Care Planning Policy and Procedure

The Death and Dying Policy has been renamed ”End of Life Care Planning Policy and Procedure”. A framework to guide best practice care and support for service users near the end of their life has been added.
