Mobility Policy and Procedure

Care Management Care Practice Region: | Reference: WCC38

Policy reviewed and converted into the new QCS format. Emphasis placed on supporting independence and physical activity as well as mobilisation. This policy now dovetails with the Moving and Handling Policy and Procedure and the Falls Management Policy and Procedure. There is reference to the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 in relation to the promotion of wellbeing.

Medical Emergency Policy and Procedure

The medical emergency policy has been reviewed and converted to the new QCS policy format. The content has grown to include some further procedural standards in relation to taking a proactive approach to minimising the deterioration of an Individual before it becomes a medical emergency, as well as providing some clarity for actions to take when responding to a medical emergency.

Dementia Policy and Procedure

Policy converted to the new QCS format. This policy promotes a culture of inclusion and empowerment for Individuals diagnosed with dementia. Procedures are extended and there is a suite of resources available to access. This policy also includes the need for staff to consider how they might support Individuals who are LGBT and living with dementia. References to resources have been included.

Choice Policy and Procedure
