Domestic Violence and Abuse Policy and Procedure #3
This is a new policy that sits as part of the Safeguarding Adults and Child Protection policies and procedures. The National HSE safeguarding reporting procedures and Tusla procedures must be attached to this policy to ensure that staff know who to contact and their contact details. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to stay at home, self-isolation, increased anxiety and worry are likely to result in increased rates of domestic violence and abuse. Staff working directly with service users and their families need to be aware of the signs to look for and how to report any concerns.
