Maternity Leave Policy and Procedure #4

This policy has been amended to clarify that, where there is a conflict between the terms of this policy and the statutory position, the statutory position should take precedence. In addition, the policy has been updated to outline the interaction between maternity leave and furlough leave. This policy governs the statutory minimum requirements for a pregnant employee who intends to go on maternity leave. An employer will meet these requirements by following this policy but must not do less than is contained in this policy.
