Registration of Scottish Social Care Workers Policy and Procedure
This policy will inform employees and the employer on their responsibilities to appropriately register and gain the necessary qualifications within the specified timeframe. If employees fail to register they can no longer work until they register or renew their registration. The service could then be challenged to deliver care with staff being disqualified from working. The policy has been reviewed in light of changes in registration due to the coronavirus pandemic, which staff should familiarise themselves with.
