Service User Fire Evacuation Policy and Procedure
The policy has been revised and updated to support fire safety for people living in their own homes. The policy previously incorporated personal emergency evacuation plans. The policy now advocates providers supporting Service Users to contact the local Fire Brigade for personalised fire safety including evacuation plans and advice on smoke alarms. The policy title has been amended from Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) Policy and Procedure to Service User Fire Evacuation Policy and Procedure to reflect the change. Working with the local Fire Brigade more closely will ensure that Service Users who are at greater risk from fires will be visible to the Fire Brigade.
