The Product Manager for Social Care Solutions is a pivotal member of our team who is responsible for creating product capabilities that deliver complete solutions across software, content and integrations, enabling new and improved QCS solutions to be sold to social care providers both small and large, and alongside complementary partner technologies.

Our goal is to build products our customers love and use to deliver great care. Your job is to use your unique blend of communication and technical skills combined with a big-picture vision and excellent product management skills to deliver market-leading, innovative, easy-to-use software and content products, on time and on budget. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving market research and analysis in specialist care sectors that QCS operates in to develop market expertise and understand customer expectations and user needs
  • Developing and using systematic feedback mechanisms to provide input to the technical and content teams to drive the right software and content product developments
  • Creating a product and partnership roadmap to enable us to meet future needs of customers
  • Analysing the products our customers use and recommend new partnerships as well as retirement strategies where appropriate
  • Working with other Product Managers, UX Designers and Business Analysts to define and approve high-level requirements
  • Prioritising requirements and manage the software and content product backlog using agile processes
  • Evangelising attributes of our specialist social care products internally and externally
  • Systematically reviewing competitor offerings and new entrants and provide reports and insights to the senior executive team and product development team

Your role involves:

  • Engage with customers on a regular basis via multiple channels
  • Specify and prioritise product requirements, feature sets, and key positioning and messaging
  • Collaborate with other product managers, and with Content and Software teams, to solve problems
  • Curate, communicate, and manage a long-term product roadmap
  • Analyse external and internal data to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Define KPIs and set targets that move QCS toward success
  • Conduct relevant research studies
  • Translate business strategy into product strategy
  • Own the product roadmap for social care specialist products
  • Ensure high-quality products are delivered on-time and within budget
  • Drive action throughout the organisation working across teams to ensure that products get to market
  • Follow agreed processes to coordinate all activities related to product delivery and launch


Your skills and attributes that will make you successful in this role:  

  • A great communicator, natural problem solver and project manager, skilled at building professional relationships to deliver positive outcomes
  • Able to capture, assess and prioritise customer and market requirements, including analysis of cost vs. value of new product developments
  • Knowledge of social care sector market and customer requirements
  • Can drive the right product enhancements in the context of the long-term vision and big picture
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum
  • Able to influence and persuade whilst showing a flair for innovation and creativity
  • Able to work well under pressure, multitask, and maintain keen attention to detail
  • Natural tendency to be positive, creative, and curious
  • Genuine empathy toward customers and commitment to diving into the weeds on their challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, be self-disciplined and committed to quality and overall have a collaborative approach
  • Ability to problem solve – aptitude for fixing problems and have an analytical mindset
  • Be a quick learner who understands new processes and systems quickly and enjoys learning
  • Adaptable and can work with a diverse range of stakeholders
