Wendy has been a qualified registered general nurse for over 23 years, with a broad background in the NHS, older people, community and private sector. Since 1998 she has been working with care homes, starting as a nursing sister and moving into roles of Home Manager, Quality Manager, Learning and Development and Director of Nursing.She holds a BSc (Hons) in Professional Development in Nursing, Post Graduate Certificate in Education and is also registered with the NMC as a Practice Educator and Lecturer. She has a clinical interest in quality improvement and governance. She is passionate about delivering a high quality care experience to older people. When she isn’t working, she enjoys living on a farm with her husband and daughter near the Mourne Mountains.
