Celebrating the Achievements of People with Learning Disabilities in Oxfordshire

Dementia Care
March 23, 2017

We have been given some money from the Big Lottery Fund to celebrate the 18th birthday of our charity, My Life My Choice, this year.

We will use the money to make a film about the achievements of people with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire over the last 18 years.

We are used to people thinking that we can’t do very much, or feeling sorry for us. But we don’t like this.

So we wanted to show some of the inspiring things that us and our friends have done.

Yesterday we visited a film studio to interview some of our stars.

We talked to Michael (pictured) about founding My Life My Choice, we talked to Otto about acting in a BAFTA nominated film, and we talked to Dawn about walking the Camino de Santiago.

You can watch the film when it comes out in June.

In the meantime, we would love to hear about any amazing things that people with learning disabilities that you know have done.
