Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)

Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)

  • Supports your CQC Compliance under The Care Act 2014 and The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2015
  • Policies & Procedures are fully customised to you as required by the CQC
  • Save Time — How long would it take you to create and update 2300+ pages of guidance?

The CIW is the independent regulator in Wales, registering (in some instances) and inspecting  a variety of care and social service related settings, including adult social care (care homes, domiciliary care agencies etc), children’s homes, childminders, adoption agencies and many more.

Split into three regions, North Wales, South East Wales and South West Wales, the CIW seeks to encourage improvements in adult social care by inspection and registration. In addition to this, they also have enforcement powers as provided under the Care Standards Act 2000 to ensure that the National Minimum Standards are being adhered to.

Whilst inspecting care establishments, the CIW look at quality themes to judge the level of compliance, whether around quality of life, staffing, leadership and management or the environment.

  • Good system, Great Customer care executive

QCS is easy to navigate to find policies. if you speak to the right person who have more in depth idea about the content, you'll get good guidance. I commend the team for being helpful, especially Kate Lockley who's been superb in clarifying mind-boggling areas to customise my policies. She's been very approachable and patient despite throwing loads of questions. Staff like her makes the QCS system worth having, knowing that someone can always be there to listen to any… Cath
