Do you know that we have a COVID-19 Visitor Tracker within the QCS System?

Today, virtual check-in systems have taken on a new role in safety and at QCS we know how important it is for healthcare providers to track, monitor and record visitors to their Practice during the pandemic, so we now have an easy-to-use COVID-19 Visitor Tracker for our customers.

The COVID-19 Visitor Tracker enables the Practice to monitor, record and track any visitor coming to the Practice. It can also be used by all members of staff. The tracker allows the Practice to create a unique QR code which visitors will have to scan with their phone camera to complete COVID-19 symptom-free declaration and questionnaire before entering the premises.

This is excellent evidence within the Safe and Well-Led CQC domains.

QR (Quick Response) codes look a bit like barcodes, but instead of vertical stripes, they are made up of square–shaped patterns, and many smartphones now come with built-in QR code readers. When the camera scans the QR code, the tracker will launch the check-in process via the browser on the visitor’s mobile device, with no app download required. Starting the process with a unique QR code ensures that the visitor was at the Practice when they say they were.

Not only does the tracker enable the Practice to record visitors, it will also support the infection control procedures required during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially since the visitor is using their own phone or mobile device to record their visit. This also reduces face-to-face interactions with staff to confirm visitor details.
