Resource Centre

September 16, 2020

Now more than ever, Rachel Linfoot, as a Dental Practice Manager, recognises the need for a high-quality compliance system. A management system that allows her to keep up-to-date with the ever-changing Coronavirus guidance, and most importantly keep her staff and patients safe.

Last week, Rachel shared with us how she uses the HR content and function on the QCS system. Today, Rachel is going to talk to us about the Resource Centre, where she can find fact sheets, supporting guidelines, letters, podcasts, videos, articles and more, all thoroughly organised by our QCS expert.

This week sees the conclusion of my 8-week series of blogs about the QCS system. I hope the series has given you a bit more insight into what QCS can do for you and how you can make the most of it at your practice.

During the final week, the focus has been on the Resource Centre. It is a multi-media library containing information from a variety of best practice sources. It offers audios, videos and documents to provide useful information on lots of different subjects, from how to calculate holiday pay to advice for people returning to work after shielding.

The Resource Centre is where you will find blogs (like this one) and useful articles – for example, there is guidance on the CQC Emergency Support Framework. With the CQC calling practices to see what measures they have put in place to keep their patients safe during the pandemic, it has left a lot of practice managers feeling anxious, hoping they are ready. Just by having a quick look at the QCS document, I instantly felt better and more prepared for any questions they may ask me.

In the Resource Centre you will find lots of documents to help you throughout the pandemic, such as COVID-19 symptom checkers, mental health awareness and fit testing advice, useful posters and employee welfare checklists, so you can make sure your staff are all ok and feel as safe as possible at work.

The Resource Centre will continuously be developed, with a library of audits in development to make these as easy as possible to complete. You can access the Resource Centre within the Policy Centre where featured and previously accessed articles will show, followed by a selection of tabs or groupings where you can explore the contents.

I hope this weekly blog has helped you to understand the system a bit better, or maybe been a handy recap to remember all that this great compliance system offers – it certainly has been for me!
