Annabelle brings over 12 years of experience from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to her role as Primary Care Content Lead at QCS. Annabelle’s expertise includes an in-depth knowledge of GP compliance, including the Single Assessment Framework (SAF).
Annabelle has led GP inspections since 2013, ranging from those that were rated inadequate right the way through to outstanding. Her recent work as a Business Change Manager at the CQC involved implementing the Single Assessment Framework (SAF), the change in technology and the ways of working into the new Integrated Assessment and Inspection Teams (IAITs).
With a background in law and a Master’s degree in public health, Annabelle’s academic interest focuses on health inequalities and their impact on patient outcomes and GP provider ratings. She has co-led the CQC work which considered whether there was a difference in ethnic minority GP providers’ regulatory outcomes, with her research being published in the BMJ Leader. Annabelle is a peer reviewer for the British Journal of General Practice.
