Sheena began her nursing career in the late 1980s. After working in stroke rehabilitation in the NHS, a growing interest in dementia led her to move into residential nursing care, where she spent over 20 years in various leadership roles, including Registered Manager and Director of Nursing, in both the UK and Ireland.
Driven by a passion for education, Sheena transitioned into training management in 2012 and went on to establish her own company in 2019. Since then, she has designed and delivered a wide range of courses and workshops for the residential and home care sectors throughout Ireland. Sheena holds a Master’s degree in Dementia from Trinity College Dublin, alongside a range of qualifications in training and coaching.
Today, Sheena works with care providers across Leinster and beyond, offering dementia consultancy, management coaching, and staff training. She is also a regular contributor to QCS, sharing insights and expertise on best practice in care.
Based in the heart of the scenic Wicklow Mountains National Park, Sheena is an active member of a local writers’ group and enjoys spending time outdoors, walking in the hills with her dog.
