The CQC is reviewing the timeline for implementing its new regulatory approach

The CQC has announced it is ‘reviewing’ the timeline for the introduction of its new single assessment framework.

Earlier this year, it announced that all providers should expect to be regulated against the new framework from January 2023.

Explaining the reason for the decision, it said that: It’s important to make sure we are doing the right things at the right times, and that we adapt our new approach along the way.

‘We are using what we’ve learnt from the work so far to ensure that our plan is achievable and reliable. We will share a fully revised schedule for implementing the changes soon.’
