Dear Deborah,

Thank you for your question.

Registration as a Registered Manager always relates to a particular service.

If you have been offered a job subject to registration with CQC as the Registered Manager then you will be required to apply to be registered.

The application form and further information can be found here.

You will see that the expectation for a Registered Manager is to have both a qualification and experience in a senior role.

Your OT qualification would of course be a very useful qualification to have. If you were to be registered by CQC for a particular service they might require you to complete a further qualification but it is likely that your OT qualification would be taken into account as well.

I hope this is helpful.

Best wishes.

Sheila
