Hi Sheila
With the outbreak of Covid-19, are the CQC still processing new registration applications right now?
Thanks

Dear Tracy,

Thank you for your question.

Although CQC have stopped all routine inspections because of their wish to stop the spread of coronavirus if you look at their website at “Register with CQC as a new provider” – https://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/registration/register-cqc-new-provider

you will read that they state:

“While measures to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) are still in effect, many of our staff are working from home. This means there are likely to be delays in processing documents sent to us by post.”

They are quite clear that the way to apply for registration at the moment is online.

I hope this is helpful.

Best wishes.

Sheila
