Sheila Scott OBE Care Strategist
Sheila is a nurse by profession. In the 1980s she was the proprietor of residential care homes for the elderly in North London.
Sheila is the Chief Executive of the National Care Association. She is passionate about representing the interests of registered social care providers to the Government and implementing policy on improving standards in the social care sector. She represents the National Care Association at conferences, seminars and to the press and media.
She is currently heavily involved in representing the Association at all meetings with CQC relating to the introduction of their new methodology for registration and inspection.
Sheila sits on many national committees and advisory groups representing the independent care sector. She is currently the Chairman of the Department of Health and Skills for Care Recruitment and Retention Working Group.
Sheila was awarded the OBE for services to Social Care in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2007.
