Dear, Sheila, is it right to undress a resident or dress him/her in bed lying down with two pillows under the head?

You do not say why you are asking this question.
If a resident is for whatever reason most comfortable lying down to dress or undress, then that is perfectly acceptable.
This could well be because of some physical condition.
It is of course normal for people to stand or sit up to be assisted with dressing, but particularly for people in pain or with a particular disability, it may be more comfortable or easier for them to be dressed whilst they are lying down.
I understand that you wouldn’t have written to me if you didn’t have a particular concern so please write again and explain the circumstances you are referring to.
