Dear Ivy,

Thank you for your question.

The answer is quite straightforward.

You can appoint a new Registered Manager.  The person that you wish to appoint has to go through the registration process with CQC.

All the details are here on the CQC website:

https://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/registration/registered-manager-application/apply-new-registered-manager

You could then register to be the Nominated Individual and you can find the details for that here:

https://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/notifications/changes-registered-details-nominated-individuals-officers-directors

This is a process that has to be gone through and the registration of a new Registered Manager can take some time.

You must remember when you have got the registrations changed to also change your Statement of Purpose and submit the amended version to CQC.

With best wishes.

Sheila
