Is physical checks always necessary at nights with the residents? | QCS

 When checking residents at night, is just observing them adequate or is a physical check always necessary?

Thanks for your question. I think the answer I gave previously covers this and even though it was specific to supported living, the overriding principles should be the same. Ask to speak to the registered manager as the reasons for carrying out any physical check should be detailed in the individuals’ care and support plans and they should be able to explain the reasons why physical checks are required.
