Care sector unites for refugee crisis

September 8, 2015

Care sector unites for refugee crisisEurope is facing its worst refugee crisis since the Second World War – thousands of children have made the perilous journey across the Mediterranean Seas, fleeing countries like Syria, where brutal war has ripped apart the lives of millions.

You can’t have missed the distressing images of the last few days that have moved us all.

Save the Children are doing whatever it takes to provide essential support to these thousands of desperate children but are in urgent need of support to respond to this crisis. Quality Compliance Systems (QCS) has donated £10,000 towards the Save the Children’s Child Refugee Crisis Appeal, working to make sure children are protected wherever possible.

QCS is only too aware of the strain the Care Sector faces every day, and in a time of increased financial pressure on care providers it is hard to look outward but we urge you all, if you can do what you can, to help in this time of crisis.

Speaking on behalf of the National Care Association, Sheila Scott, OBE said: “There are so many ways to help – not just monetary – and we know of NCA members who have generously donated clothes and blankets.”

Refugee children are frightened, homeless and many have witnessed unspeakable horrors – you can help them. Visit the Save the Children Child Refugee Crisis Appeal for more information.
