Claire and Caroline Parker

In order to limit the risk of cross-infection from an asymptomatic resident returning from hospital, these two carers volunteered to work 14 straight days opposite each other on nights and days. This ensured that staff could not take any COVID to any other residents in the event that the returning resident had picked up COVID in hospital. They gave kind, skilled, good-humoured,  individualised care to this individual meeting all her needs throughout the 14 day period without having to leave the isolation area. The result was that everyone in the home remained safe.
