‘Women need the support to set boundaries, speak out, and stand up.’ Paula Cashmore

In this special International Women’s Day episode of The Care Social, host Barry Price sits down with Paula Cashmore, known to many as the “Mary Poppins of Social Care.” Paula shares her personal journey in the sector, the importance of empowering women in social care, and why valuing the workforce is key to tackling burnout and retention challenges.

They discuss the realities of career progression, the pressures women face, and the critical role of strong leadership and support. Paula also reflects on the women who have inspired her and offers advice for the next generation of female leaders in care.
