Dementia Awareness Week 2017

Dementia Care
May 17, 2017

We just thought we would let you know, if you weren’t already aware, that this week is dementia awareness week. It is a real opportunity for you to raise the understanding of dementia, how it impacts on peoples’ lives and contribute to, or share, the really important work that is going on around the country. This work isn’t just happening this week, it is ongoing and so important to take everyone on the journey to make dementia a thing of the past!

Please look at https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/info/20167/dementia_awareness_week and by clicking on the link above you can also create your own image to share on the site and to show your support, find an event near you to attend and understand more about the vitally important work they do all year round.

On the main website https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/ you will find all sorts of information, ideas and inspiring stories to help with your understanding and hopefully stimulate you to do more to help!

As you may know QCS are active members of the Dementia Action Alliance, which can be found here https://www.dementiaaction.org.uk/ , and we would encourage you to think about joining this organisation to further develop understanding, share good practice and develop links with other like-minded groups and individuals.

Have a great week
